Our teachers and staff are the real magic behind our success. While we are proud of our facilities and philosophy,it would all be lost without the talent and passion of the Dancetastic team. We offer a an excellent ratio of teachers to students, with a minimum of two teachers per class.

Artistic Directors

Lori

Lori Ordanis

A certified member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, and graduate from Ryerson University, Lori Ordanis is passionate about dance. Since the age of 3 she has trained in all disciplines of dance, including Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. She has choreographed, studied and instructed at the highest levels. Lori’s choreography has won numerous prestigious awards at dance Competitions including “Miss Teen Luv 2 dance 2008”, Best Choreography (out of 1,200 entries), Overall Highest Mark Awards, and various Special Awards. The students under Lori Ordanis’ direction are encouraged to “learn, live, and love to dance”. Her teaching tactics focus on perfecting her students dance technique, developing superb stage presence, while increasing the dancer’s self-confidence. The enjoyment of dance brought into her students lives is largely because Lori is the instructor. Her presence in the studio is inspiring, yet disciplined enough to bring out the best in the student’s dance abilities. Lori's success as an Artistic Director of Dancetastic, and her ability to inspire young dancers, is the culmination of a lifetime dedicated to her art.

Lia

Lia Fidei

Dance has been a major focus in Lia Fidei’s life since the age of 3. She is a certified member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and a sought out adjudicator certified under the I.A.D.A. Lia has extensive training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre. Upon completing the Dance program at Unionville High Schools’ Arts York program, she attended York University where she completed a 5 year Honours degree in Business Management. (B.A.S).

Students under Lia’s direction have had many successes in all areas of dance both professionally and competitively. She has been teaching dancers for over 15 years and has inspired many children along the way. Her work has gone on to win numerous awards including most creative and original choreography for many groups and solos. Her true passion and desire has always been to teach which is why her goal is to ensure her students learn, live and love to dance. She strives for excellence and always challenges her students to bring out the best in each of them. Lia’s is very passionate about her work and is committed to bringing the best training, opportunities and information available to DTS dancers. Her life has been dedicated to dance and after the inception of DTS, she has been able to pass on her experience to many young eager dancers.

Lidia

Lidia Cerundolo

Lidia Cerundolo began her dance training at the age of 3 and has received professional training in a wide range of dance disciplines including ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap, acrobatics, musical theatre, and modern dance. As a former member of the DTS Competitive Company, Lidia received numerous awards as a soloist and won many overall championships. Lidia attended Unionville High Schools’ Arts York Dance Program and continued to receive professional dance training as a graduate of the George Brown Collage Dance Program. Lidia’s extensive training has allowed her to study under the instruction of the dance industry’s best and some of Toronto’s top teachers and choreographers. Lidia received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from York University and continues to pursue her passion of dance as a very talented dance instructor and choreographer, as she is also a proud member of the C.D.T.A. Lidia’s eight years of experience with instructing young dancers, creativity and commitment allow her to create a positive and safe learning environment for all her students, which guides them to experience the true joy of dance, while improving their dance technique and performance skills. Lidia has also received many awards for her choreography and routines with the DTS Competitive Company, and her goal as a dance teacher is to inspire her students to share in her love and passion for the art form.


Kelly

Kelly Tamburrini

Kelly has been dancing since the young age of four. She has extensive dance training in jazz, tap, ballet, modern and lyrical. She has danced at the completive level, performing both as a soloist and group member nationally in competitions. However, Kelly’s speciality lies in the hip hop world. She has a creative flare which allows her to choreograph many award winning dance routines including Miss Teen Luv 2 Dance. Kelly always strives for excellence and continues to learn from the industries top teachers. Kelly has been teaching for over 15 years and has obtained her associates dance teachers certification with the CDTA. She also went on to acquire her adjudicators certification with the International Academy of Dance Adjudicators. Along with dance and choreography, Kelly is currently a proud faculty member with the YCDSB.

Kristina Fallico

 Kristina’s passion for dance began at the age of 3. She has been involved in many competitions and has won many national championship titles throughout Canada and the United States in addition to participating in many workshops under master teachers’ and choreographers in Toronto, L.A and New York, training in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Ballet and Acro. In her training, she has completed her A.D.A.P.T exams in both jazz and tap. Kristina has been involved in many dance shows including Toronto’s “Fashion Cares” dancing for Sarah Brightman and Julie Black and performed at Club Med in the Bahamas. Kristina has also been involved in TV shows such as YTV’s “System Crash.” Kristina attended high school at Cardinal Carter Academy for the arts where she expanded her performing experience specializing in Drama, and finished with a science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University in 2008. She is an enthusiastic teacher and choreographer and her choreography has won many special awards and overalls for solos, duet/trios and groups in all disciplines in competitions throughout Canada. As a teacher to young dancers she hopes to educate, encourage and inspire all her dancers to be the best dancers they can be and to strive for excellence with a positive attitude and confidence.

Elizabeth Hutchison

Elizabeth Anne Hutchison BA and advanced R.A.D. Certificate.

Upon arriving in Toronto over 30 years ago from England, Elizabeth continured her ballet studies with Janet Baldwin, Gladys Forrester, Maureen Stewart, and at the Ryerson Univeristy with John Marshall and Florentina Loijokova.
Elizabeth danced with Maureen Steward Dance Company and performed as a "dance super" with the Canadian Opera Company in the Magic Flure, Othello, La Fortza de Destino and many other operas.  She has also perfomed the Can Can in several amateur productions of the Merry Widow and has choreographed the Consul and Charlie the Chicken for Opera Annonymous in Toronto.
Ten years ago, Elizabeth decided to close down her R.A.D. Exams oriented ballet school in Don Mills. Now she guest teaches and look foward to further teaching engagements where she can inspire young and mature people with her wealth of teaching and performing experience.

Alona Khaninson 

Alona Khaninson began her professional dance training at the age of 9 after leaving the olympic reserve artistic gymnastics team. Between the age of 9 and her high school graduation Alona successfully completed all her RAD Examinations and participated in the RAD Competition of Excellence where she recieved a 3rd place.
The training she recieved while growing up consisted of many dance disciplines including RAD and Vaganova ballet techniques, Graham, Limon and Horton modern techniques, Jazz, Character, partnering and pointe work. This allowed her to pursue a professional dance career and perform with Ontario Ballet Theatre, Canadian Ballet Theatre and European Ballet in London, UK. She began her performing as a member of the corps de ballet and progressed to principal roles by the age of 19. After that she performed lead roles in such ballets as the Nutcracker, Cinderella, Swan Lake, etc.
After deciding to quit performing and go back to school 6 years ago, Alona began her teaching career in hopes to pass her practical experience and knowledge on to her students. Since then she has put together numbers that both entertained audiences and won overalls at competitions. She is a passionate and dedicated teacher who inspires and encourages her students to have faith in themselves and work hard.

 

Amanda Lytle

Dancing since the age of four, Amanda has been trained in ballet, jazz, modern, acro and lyrical. Her love for dance turned into a passion to pursue a career in teaching. Amanda has an associate dance teachers certification from Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC) in the modern discipline. A recent graduate from a joint dance program between York University and the National Ballet School of Canada, Amanda has received an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and a Diploma from NBS with distinction. She has obtained her registered teachers status with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and is certified to enter dancers in exams. Amanda passes on her love for dance through her teaching and encourages her students to strive for excellence.


 


Dana Bondy

Dana's training began in Fort Erie ON, at Peacock School of Dance where she became a principal dancer and instructor. Her love of dance and passion to perform led her to Toronto where she attended George Brown College and graduated with a certificate from the Performing Arts Program
Upon graduation from George Brown, Dana trained and performed with Jazz and Hip Hop companies, “Thrive" and the "Honeykats”, and received international recognition traveling to Japan as dance captain and performing at Huistenbosch Dutch Resort. Further Credits Include The Spiegel Show (LuminaTO), Hank and Mike (Darius Films), Stardust Follies Musical Review (Diamond Entertainment), Vegas Live (777 Entertainment) Sports Celebrity Fundraiser (TSN), Fashion Cares (2005), Moulin Rouge and West Side Story (PWA Foundation).
Dana continues training with ‘Creative Habitat’, a contemporary dance company for Social Change, whose works have been showcased for the Premiere of “Women in Dance” and “Talent Defined” as well as working closely and performing for Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. She is also a featured performer and dance captain with Les Coquettes Cabaret Troupe, with performances in support of Opera Nation, Rethink Breast Cancer and Boys Night Out.
Dana is also a much sought after Choreographer whose credits include, The Weight of Tradition (Three Eagles Prod.) and Twilight Express (Bravofact). 

 


Mark Kay

Mark Kay started in the world of gymnastics at the age of six. He trained and competed until the age of 19. Within that time, he also showed a great interest in dance and took acro classes. He always wanted to do more dance, but never got into it. He grew up always dancing and having a natural ability for it. He watched his sister dance competitively for many years and wanted his chance to shine.  It wasn't until he was a teenager, that he started taking classes in a variety of dance
disciplines. From there, he became focused solely on dance and started to teach. He teaches acro, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, and hip hop. He has been well known in theThornhill community for many years working at City of Vaughan daycamp programs. He was the Director of Dance-To-Da-Beat and the Assistant Director of Gymnastics camp.  His professional experience has been dancing back-up for the Neil Young concert in Toronto in 2004. He has also danced at many bar/bat mitzvahs, parties, and localcharities. He was seen in the Town Crier's Education Fall Guide in 2009. The articlefocused on his experience in dance as a male and inspired guys to get more into dance.Mark's work is extremely creative, dynamic, and challenging. He has won many overall awards at competitions including top acro soloist, overall highest acro of the competition, and most outstanding intermediate performer of 2009.
